Reworked the processInputBuffer function to hopefully do less copying around and such. This has significantly improved the system audio output and made it very smooth and listenable. The Mercury output is still a little bit rough, and there needs to be some tracking of where the data corruption is coming from.
This also seems to solve the problem reported by John James where the program was having difficulty starting and staying running.
