Implemented the waterfall as a Core Animation Open GL layer (CAOpenGLLayer) instead of an OpenGLView. This allows me to take all of the OpenGL drawing code off of the main thread and means that the waterfall doesn't block when UI elements are being selected. It also gives me the opportunity to composite things on it with Core Animation methods.
