Removed the buffers and extra processing thread for the input side of things. After looking at the buffer utilization of the input buffer, and figuring out that it was not really ever used, it seemed better to take it out completely. This should help perormance.

Changed the semantics on the main window views so that they will respond to clicks if the application is active regardless of what window is currently key. The default behavior is preserved if the application is not active.
