Incorrect frequency after pressing band button

Start by pressing the 40m band button on the main receiver. Scroll through the 40m band and into the 41m broadcast band. Now press the 30m band selection button. My setup takes me to 15.15Mhz....and not to somewhere in the 30m band. A brief test shows that selecting the 40m band initially isn't the crucial step...selecting other bands (such as 160m and 80m) also lead to the same problem.
