Preamp Button Setting Doesn't Always Mirror Preamp State

Start by selecting 40m band on main receiver (preamp off). Now select preamp tickbox; premap is enable successfully. Select another band (say 80m) using the band buttons on the main receiver. Band jump happens successfully, however preamp tickbox remains selected, however premap is now off. Going back to 40m band leaves preamp box selected, but again the preamp remains off.
